Exhibition pavilion
Closed from 27.10. till May 2024.
Where are we located?
Botanical garden of the Department of Biology (Faculty of science) makes southern part of Zagreb’s lower town Green or Lenuzzi horseshoe; it extends from the Miramarska road in the east to the Runjaninova street in the west, along the Mihanovićeva street and the Marulićev square in the west, with the rail embankment in the south.
Entrance
Public Entrance/exit to the Garden is situated near the exhibition greenhouse, where the Mihanovićeva street meets the eastern side of the Marulić square. The entrance is suitable for wheelchairs, baby strollers and bicycle parking.
How to reach us?
Located in the centre of the lower town, the Garden is easily accessible on foot, simply by following parks and squares of the green (Lenuzzi) horseshoe to the south. The Gundulićeva street, which stretches from the main Ilica street, will lead you directly to the main entrance of the Garden.
Arriving by car is somewhat difficult due to restricted parking spaces in nearby streets (first parking zone). The nearest public garage is located near the Hotel Esplanade (entrance from the Grgur Ninski street) and the Main railways station. If you are coming to Zagreb by train, simply take a short walk to the west and use the pedestrian bridge entrance.
Tram lines 2, 4 and 9 pass along the Garden (Mihanovićeva street; stops ‘Botanic garden’ and ‘Vodinkova’), and more lines are available on nearby stop n the Savska street (to the west of the Garden).
Two guards are constantly monitoring the Garden so please follow the Garden rules (e.g. no bikes, no dogs – however small, no picknicks….)

During the Season it is closed only on Easter Sunday and Monday, The Assumption day (August 15) and All Saints’ Day (November 1).
